NEVER BACK DOWN FROM YOUR BELIEFS!
The 1% Lifestyle is about thinking, saying, and doing what no one else is willing.
BE the change. LIVE the change.
I’d literally die for my family, if that meant they’d live to see another day! THAT’S drive, hunger … my reason for getting out of bed.
What belief, dream, or promise would you give your last breathe for? Make what you’re doing bigger than yourself – something that leaves a mark in your wake.
Success for self is empty success, but sacrificing for the people behind you or those who sacrificed before you … that’s genuine success.
When you wake up each morning, make it not about what you do, but rather, who you ARE!
This was sent to me by an up-and-coming star I’m blessed to work with. She’s young, hungry, and learning what it means to sacrifice. She’s having a difficult time seeing herself in the future, focusing on why she’s working so hard today. I’m constantly challenging her to lose her sight, and gain vision!
“One year ago I almost quit, and on top of that, my mom had almost pulled the plug until I decided that I’m not a quitter – that I’m not going to let someone in my life control who I am or what I want to be. Now, I’m playing national tournaments and I’m the best! I play with passion and emotion towards every shot I hit – not just every other shot or point, but every single shot!
Having my mental game improve and learning how to handle this, gave me a huge advantage in how I present myself and how I use it to break my opponents, crushing them every time we compete. I don’t just go out their to win, I go out there to show that I’m going to be the 1% that can complete their guarantees! Even though I don’t win every match, I go out there and put forth everything I’ve got until my arms and legs fall off – and that won’t even stop me.
This is what I look like – nothing or no one will break me to be the best at anything I do!”

I was buying coffee from this woman, when I noticed something on her arm. When I asked to see her tattoo, she showed me these!
“Before courage, there’s fear!”
The majority want to be fearless, but don’t want to battle through the fear to get there. What I’ve learned living years in the shadow of fear … courage becomes much sweeter on the other side.
You’re human, you’ll feel fear, but know it’s a CHOICE. Choose courage, instead!
When you accept STRUGGLE as inevitable and mandatory, the process becomes more fluid. The tug-o-war between your obstacles and destination disappear.
It’s not supposed to easy, it’s meant to test your every fiber of passion and willingness to keep fighting.
You’ll ultimately be defined by the amount of struggle you endure!
She’s laser focused on making her WHY a reality!
This high school junior is taking the time to write down her long term vision! She’s not just talking about it or hoping about it … she’s DOING about it. She’s committed to making the smallest, most insignificant detail come to life. She’s talked about what it looks like, and now she’s determined to live, breathe, and sleep it into existence.
The subconscious never shuts off, so what we put in, it spits out … good or bad. She’s loading hers up with guarantees the majority would think to be “unrealistic.” It’s only unrealistic until it’s accomplished, where it’s then called ROUTINE!
Take time to put on paper or on your computer, what you WILL have in the future – what it looks like and who you’ll need to meet in order for it to materialize.
Stop hoping, start doing!
Your success will be dictated by the strength of your purpose.
My Why is so strong, there’s nothing that can possibly stop me! I work my butt off in order to enjoy THESE moments … IMG_0608
Congratulations to Max Gray for his inspiring Success Story ... He's the winner of a 1% T-shirt. "Sophomore year, my summer was going great. I felt unstoppable! During one of my team scrimmages, I dove for a pas, caught it, and landed weird. I got up and knew I was hurt, but kept going. I was new to varsity and wanted to keep playing, but just couldn't. I took a week off - I couldn't walk, sleep, or do anything without pain. The doctor said I was fine - just a sprained back. I began playing, but it kept hurting. I went back to the same doctor, but he kept saying it was just sprained. I didn't believe it. Was I really THAT weak? A sprained back, and I'm in THIS much pain? I hated everything. I finally went to a different doctor, who looked at the same MRI and said it was FRACTURED! I had been playing for 2 months with a fractured back. I remember being in so much pain, but nothing compared to when he told me I'd never play football again. I was depressed, I cried - it was extremely hard. I was stuck in a back brace for 6 months. I had no motivation until one day I realized I couldn't give up! I watched videos from Giavanni Ruffin, which inspired me a lot. I was finally able to do little things like push ups and sit ups. Every day, I was doing everything I possibly could. It hurt, but I knew the pain wouldn't last forever - I kept pushing myself. I would go early before school every day and just run, work out, and think. It was tough because there was still doubt in me that I couldn't play again. I eventually started track season, and hurt it again on the hurdles. I found a way to fight back and made it to bi-districts. Now, I'm here ... taking no days off, making sure that never happens again! I truly feel blessed to be able to play football and be a State competitor in track. I'm a fighter! I'm striving to be a kick returner and wide receiver at the college level. I'd be humbled to play ANYWHERE!" -Max Gray (@alldaymaxgray)
Congratulations to Luc, who’s been named one of the nation’s top rising class of 2015 football players by PrepStar, being featured in this preseason’s issue. Just months ago, when we began working together, he was fighting his belief system, just “hoping” to make ANY football team in college, at any level. Now, he’s focused his guarantees on top DI programs …and he’s only finishing his sophomore year. He’s going to be a beast by his senior season!
This magazine is subscribed to by all major Division I programs in the country, featured seven Heisman Trophy winners, 18,000 DI players, and currently 300 NFL players. To say the least, this is a huge honor and confidence builder for Luc.
Our next step is keeping the fire lit, helping him INCREASE his hunger, now that he’s been nationally recognized. He’s been waking up before 6:00 most mornings to master his craft, but will now need to make it every morning. He understands in order to separate from the other “top DI prospects,” he must do what they’re unwilling to do.
