Life Changing Opportunity …

photo-16

When opportunity comes knocking, open the door!

A few opportunities in your life have the power to change it all – I had one of those this weekend. I was blessed to spend the day with Eric Thomas, globally known motivational speaker and voice of  “If You Want To Succeed As Bad As You Wanna Breathe.”

More than the business wisdom he shared with me, I was impressed with his humility and true selflessness. He allowed me into his 20+ years of ridiculous work ethic and knowledge about how to take my “game” to another level. Of course, I’m grateful for the doors he offered to open for me, but even more than that, I was floored by the MAN he was – God loving, humble, and generous. Eric’s a true model of success – from the inside-out.

This day changed it all for me, and look forward to growing our relationship. When your day comes, will you be ready? Are you setting yourself up to bust through the door of opportunity? If you’re always ready, you won’t have to get ready.

She's Creating A New Belief System

Carly McPolin is a high school sprinter I’ve had the pleasure to work with recently. Getting to know her, it’s becoming apparent that she’s willing to do whatever’s needed to stretch her comfort zone.

I’ve pushed her belief system … she’s responded with passion.

I’ve tested her will to struggle … she’s invited more.

Carly’s unafraid of being challenged, embracing the opportunity to perform at a level she didn’t know existed. In one week, she’s already broken her personal record in the 100 meters, which is a testimony to her willingness to raise the bar on her expectations!

I’m so proud of her, and have no doubt she’s going to achieve ridiculous levels of success!

Fear Used To Be His Mental Roadblock

Jack Perry

Huge Congratulations to Jack Perry, #1 golfer at Northwestern – winning the Big Ten’s lowest season stroke average. He’s the first Wildcat to win this honor since PGA star, Luke Donald.

We’ve worked together since he was in high school, but he had never totally immersed himself into the process of eliminating his fear. Last month, he called me, almost in desperation to step his game up to another level. He was looking for an “easy button,” one technique to increase confidence, but instead, we talked about never being out worked and sacrificing all comfort levels – more than the majority can fathom. I wanted him to buy-in to long term confidence, rather than a quick fix. Up until that point, he was doing the minimum – working hard, but not raising his mental bar to a level that would separate him from the pack.

After our conversation, he dedicated himself to doing what 99% weren’t doing – he stopped “hoping” to be the best at Northwestern, and DECIDED to do whatever it took. He began getting out of bed earlier, getting to practice before everyone, but most importantly, stopped settling for being “really good.” Ridiculous success was finally his target. For the first time since we began together, Jack chose to sacrifice his fear and immerse himself in confidence.

The following week, he crushed the field, breaking Luke Donald’s scoring record! If he continues to sacrifice, you’ll be reading his name on the PGA leader board.

Luck Had Nothing To Do With It

Dwight Phillips is the 2004 Olympic gold medalist and 4 time World Champion  in the long jump.

It was awesome talking with him about the 1% Mindset, focusing on the sacrifices and dedication it takes to reach such ridiculous levels. It wasn’t luck that catapulted him to the top, it was total immersion in his craft, both mentally and physically.

Do More Than The Minimum

ExtraMile

1% Success isn’t created by doing what’s expected … it’ll only happen by doing more than you think is possible!

“If you want to have what the majority don’t have, you gotta do what the majority won’t do.”

Don’t settle for the minimum, think bigger, act stronger, believe deeper, and KNOW it’s coming.

#DrivenByImpossible

Pain, Faith, Triumph

WithoutStruggle

Life’s pain isn’t mean to break you, it’s meant to lift you. The challenge comes from seeing the long term picture of that rising.

What I’ve learned, and am still learning … the struggle I experience is building my story – the more agony I overcome, the stronger my 1% Message becomes.

When you and I meet, we’ll connect on a deep level of hardship, battle, and triumph!

Stopping Is Never An Option

EasyNot

Obstacles happen. Barriers show up. Never EVER quit on your passion – on what drives you to wake up every day.

It’s not supposed to be easy, it’s supposed to be ridiculously tough, testing every fiber in your body to continue.

Be the model for the majority who tell you to stop. Show them “stopping” is never an option!
